Sunday, November 18th, 2012 we arrived at Church on the Lake for our very first service.  Having left Mansfield First Assembly and Pastor Blair, we prayed we would find a church and Pastor that were at least comparable.   We didn't have to "find" anything, God leads!!!  After that first Sunday, we never looked again.  Pastor Ed, his lovely wife Arlene and this entire church are so welcoming, so caring and so alive with the Holy Spirit, I don't know how the roof stays on sometimes.  Pastor Ed has a gift that can only be given by God.  He brings the word to life and his fervency is like no other.  He is the definition of a "Truly Godly Man".  We will miss them all very much over the next 4 months, and are looking forward to coming "home" in late August.  If you live in or around Livingston, Texas, I recommend this church family with an A+++ rating.  Check them out, you will see God like you have never seen him before!!!

Well, today we landed in lovely Amish Counrty and I have got to tell you I am glad we now have full hook-up, but am missing "Chez Metz" tremendously.  My sister and her family let us "squat" in their driveway for about 18 days and I have got to say it was wonderful.  My nieces, Hannah (10) and Mary (5) are adorable.  They both started school, while we were there.  May lost her first tooth and they both came over every morning before school to give us a style show of what they were wearing to school that day.  Hartville is such a great community and I found out it is a "dry" community.  I thought I saw a truck runnin shine down Geib, but I wasn't' sure.  We again, had a wonderful time, but we were tucked in a nest of trees and I know you are thinking that well the shade must have been nice in this heat.  Well, yes that was nice, but it blocked out satellite dome and we had no TV for the entire time.  Now I am a football fan, I love, love, love preseason and a NASCAR fan.  Can you say I was "FIT TO BE TIED".  HaHaHa.  We survived, but we were both jumping for joy today when we switched on the satellite, the DirecTv box and then TV and walla we had last weeks NASCAR Race at Atlanta.  I was halleluiahing all over the RV.  Gary thought I had lost my mind.  Well, without the TV for that long, I think I might have.  But it is funny, as I sit here updating the BLOG and am not even missing the TV.  Miracles do happen.  Well enough for now, blessings to you all and thanks again for keeping us in your prayers.  Rv

Well in a nut shell, RV (Brutus) should be here the 12th or 13th, I am taking a CCW class 14th & 15th, up to storage unit in Stow on the 16th to remove 4-5 furniture items out of Brutus for Gary's hospital bed and EZ-Lock system, Thirty-One New Consultant Training on the 21st, close on the house sometime the week of the 23rd, into the Brutus and off to parts unknown by the last weekend of the month.   We literally do not know where we will be first.  The plan at this point it to stay in Ohio through late October and then we are heading to Texas for six month to finish our book, get our marketing package together and set up the tour.  We truly appreciate all of you who are on-board with us in prayer at this time and send our prayers right back to you each and every day.  Stay tuned, things are moving fast and if you blink you might miss us.  Love to you all and God Bless,  Ra

Memorial Day, six year ago started like any other day.  We had the day off and were planning on removing some tree stumps in the front yard in anticipation of putting a gorgeous deck on the front of the barn facing the pond.  Gary's design had multiple levels and would have a zip line from there down to the pond.  This was going to look awesome.  A little hot for this time of the year, the day's temperature was to reach 90 and it did.  After lunch, I decided to work in the office as I am not a big fan of this kind of heat and Gary managed the rest of the stump removal.  About 3pm he came in and indicated he was going to go over to the Ferguson's for a ride.  He had been invited over and felt he had to at least make an appearance.  I was not about to go out in that heat and decided to stay at home and work.  I wish I had stood up from my desk and hugged him before he went, because that would have been the last time I was to have the opportunity.  Later that day, around 4:30pm I got a call that there had been an accident, my world came crashing down and my life would NEVER be the same!

We both have many regrets about what we did and did not do on this day.  We wished we had talked about was he ready to jump, did  I want him to jump, should you do take these kinds of chances if you are married and have a family and the list goes on and on and on.  But we both know you can't change the past and at this point we would not anyway.  We know where we are is where God wants us to be and there is a reason for it.  At times this is not an easy life by any means, but we trust in Him and look forward to what he has in store for us.

Great news from Elkhart, IN, the prints have arrived for the door modification and a contract should be out to us next week!!!   Yippeee!!!!  Denny has indicated that our timeline, or should I say God's timeline of us into the motorhome by the end of June is doable.  We are so blessed to have Dan, who has been storing our RV and Denny who is doing the modification in our lives.  If you all will pray blessings upon both of them for all that they are doing for us, we would greatly appreciate.

Today, my wonderful Uncle Joe gave me an RV driving lesson in his 40' Prevost RV.  What a beautiful beast that is with a 500hp Detroit diesel engine, that bus runs like a dream.  After some pre-instruction he took me on some back roads in Medina, then out to 77 South/224West/94North and 18East, we made it back in one piece didn't hit another car or even a mail box.  I was in heaven and really enjoyed myself.  I think I am going to like driving something this big.  What a rush!!  Gary said he will give you all fair warning when I am going to be on the road in ours and what routes we plan on taking so you can stay out the way.  What a sense of humor that husband of mine has, gotta love him and I do!

Well today I shared a mini version of my testimony and I was truly humbled by the response and all I heard from other ladies.  What an awesome day, God is doing great things in so many peoples lives and it was wonderful to share what He is doing with Gary and I right now and has been doing for the last six years since Gary broke his neck.  Thank all of you ladies for today, we felt so welcomed and blessed by your generosity and kindness.

This, ladies and gentlemen is our "future" new home.  Brutus (Gary names this one) will be in IN for the installation of the lift for Gary, for a couple of months and we should have him in our driveway mid-June.  We would like to thank Bill & Shirley of Loveland, CO for their generosity in driving him to IN for only the cost of fuel and lodging.  God brings people into our lives for a reason and this couple has, in a very short time, become very dear to us and we are so excited to see them again when we visit CO.  Click on each picture for a description and how it plays a part in the placement for Gary and his wheelchair.  God is doing awesome things in our lives right now and we thank all of your for your continued support and prayers.  Blessings for a wonderful week,  G & Ra

Saturday, May 5th from 10am - 2pm I am having a 31 Open House to celebrate our NEW Summer Catalog.  Lots of great new patterns and products, why not come on over and check it out.  As well, as a BIG garage sale Saturday 9am - 4pm and Sunday 12pm - 4pm.  We still have stuff available for sale, including the house so come on out and help us move this merchandise.  Blessings to all for a great week.

Well, the day started like any other day.  Both up early, with lots to do.  On this Good Friday, we wanted to do service unto the Lord for dying on this day for us, so up to the Earles we went to help them get ready for Easter at their home.  Since Gary's laptop is portable and the Earle's have WiFi, Gary could do his usual emails and making phone calls.  After a FaceTime chat with our oldest grandson, Parker, Gary called Bill the owner of the RV that we have been gathering information on.  The phone call ended, and Gary announces "I have some news . . . we just bought an RV!"  Ok so after I picked my jaw up off the ground and a short burst of tears for all of us Gary gave us all the information and well, let's just say we are certain beyond all doubt that this was truly God bringing Bill to us because this man came down in price before we even asked and then volunteered to drive it to the modification company in IN for us from CO for only the cost of fuel.  It is truly amazing how God moves people directly into your path to help you out and on top of that when they don't even know you is truly amazing.  Thank you Lord for all you are doing in our lives in preparation for this journey.  With you as our co-pilot, we are sure to be going in the right direction.
